Marxist America

An interesting video from a retired Lt. General discusses how America seems to be morphing into a Marxist state.

He references quotes taken from Obama and other leaders that point to redistribution of wealth through health care, a civilian security force, etc.

Marxism has been described as:

"Marxism advocates, and believes in the historical inevitability, of a proletarian revolution, when the proletariat take control of government, and then implement reforms to benefit their class, namely the confiscation of private property which is then taken under state control and run for the benefit of the people rather than for the interests of private profit"

This sounds strikingly similar to the continuous news of nationalization we've all been hearing about this past year.

I would have to say that I don't personally believe that capitalism is a perfect worldview. However, I would like to see an example of a successful Marxist, Socialist, or Communist worldview in action. I have never heard of a country implementing one of these views and being collectively known as the "land of opportunity" and being a place where people continously flock to.

When another nation can successfully implement the ideology, then maybe I'll start considering it a viable replacement for capitalism. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy being exploited by my bourgeoisie boss and earning a salary for which workers in other countries would sacrifice an arm and a leg.
